C & C Hop Farms

The Charron family's roots in the Moxee Valley date back to the early 1900s, when they arrived from Quebec and began to shape the future of farming in the region. In 1911, Leon Charron Sr. drilled a 400-meter well that unlocked enough water to support not only his family, but the growing town of Moxee. The water supply fostered agricultural development and established hops as a cornerstone crop.

The commitment to hops continued through the generations, with Leon's son, Sebastian Charron, planting his own land in 1942 and later, in 1981, formally founding C & C Hop Farms with his children, Bob and Cindy. Keith Houser joined the family by marriage and became heavily involved in operations, later becoming a Yakima Chief board member.

Today, C & C Hop Farms is a reputable fourth-generation family farm that takes great pride in its rich heritage and production of high-quality hops. They stay current with the needs of brewers by growing a wide range of hop varieties, from classics like Simcoe® and Chinook, to Sabro® and Talus®. The farm's disciplined approach and performance have earned industry recognition, including multiple MillerCoors Hop Grower of the Year awards and the Hop Quality Group Cascade Cup.
